Estonia
The aim of BAPP-Estonia is to support the development of citizen participation and civil society in Estonia. Its activities are financed by the Baltic-American Partnership Fund that was established in 1998 by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Open Society Institute (OSI) to support the continued development of democratic structures and market economy in the Baltic states. The activities of BAPP-Estonia are administered by the Open Estonia Foundation. Currently BAPP-Estonia is one of the main funders of civil society development in Estonia with programs targeted at the improvement of the external environment and infrastructure, developing the institutional capacity of non-profit organisations and advancing citizen participation and cross-sectoral cooperation.
