I personally created the site in 1998 as a
free online resource for nonprofits.
The site now contains over 700 pages of information with over 16,000
hyperlinks all checked monthly for accuracy.
My knowledge comes
from twelve years of proven business experience leading and managing a
successful family-owned business as well as serving on countless boards and
commissions and previously serving as a county elected official. Since the
creation of the site I have been advising nonprofits on the best practices
of how to run their nonprofit business for the past thirteen years.
As you know there is a huge need for
information; however, the vast majority of nonprofits in the United States
are small and can’t afford to pay a consultant as well as lack the capacity
they need to function. Regardless, they still need help in answering the
pressing questions they have in order to survive. This is the reason the
site was created in order to have a positive impact on the people serving as
leaders of nonprofits, not just in the United States, but on a worldwide
basis.
Again, the website contains over 700 pages and 16,000 plus hyperlinks of
information. The site is well maintained with only a .3%
link failure rate when most sites of this size have failure rates of 8% or
higher!
Monthly stats vary from month to
month but generally the site maintains approximately 40,000 unique visitors
with 60,000 page views. Approximately 15% of visitors return.
Current Keyword Rankings - Obviously just a
small sample taken from 700+ pages. It should be noted that the site has
never been professionally optimized.
