Practical Risk Management is published by the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) and Millicent W. Workman, CPCU, serves as the editor. With more than 1500 pages of reference material, this is an excellent resource for risk managers or those who have risk management responsibilities but not on a full-time basis. The Glossary of Insurance and Risk Management Terms, 11th Edition is a handy guide
that defines 2,800 key insurance and risk management terms in plain English. This publication from the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) interprets unfamiliar terminology used in insurance specifications and proposals, risk management reports, and other related written materials. The Glossary also contains a section on 860 frequently used abbreviations and acronyms. The 11th Edition was revised in 2006. This is an excellent resource for full time risk managers as well as those only deal with risk and insurance occasionally but need to understand the language.
